I just finished reading a great short story in the Bible. It is the Book of Ruth in the Old Testament. It is only four chapters long, but what an incredibly joyful story of how God turned tragedy and grief into great joy. It is the story of two women, Naomi and her daughter-in-law Ruth. Naomi's husband moved the family to a foreign country because of a great famine in their own country. Unfortunately, Naomi's husband dies, and her son (Ruth's husband) also dies, leaving the women grieving and utterly alone. This is a story about God taking perfect care of these women and restoring their joy. I like books with happy endings and this one sure has a GREAT ending. Here is a LINK to the Book of Ruth if you would like to read it. I came across an overview of the story here: LINK to "5 Essential Lessons You Need to Know from the Book of Ruth"
